A former admissions professional and school counselor, Dr. Cook currently works as a Nashville-based educational consultant. With 20+ years of experience working with students and families in the college admissions process, she combines advanced training in counseling psychology with expert knowledge of the admissions process to provide expert consultation for families in academic planning, university admissions, career development and more during this critical stage of development.
Dr. Cook earned a BA in English and Communications from Vanderbilt University, an MEd in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, and a PhD in Counseling and Student Services from the University of Georgia. He has written about the use and ethical practice of teletherapy in his book, Therapy with Young Men. and he has trained clinicians in this area for more than a decade. Over a 30-year career, he has delivered over 600 talks and professional trainings around the country.
